Renee Mendez
LMBT #13316

Renee has been practicing massage and bodywork for over 6 years. She attended massage school in Wisconsin and llinois. Her passion about massage began at the age of 16, when she got her first massage to relieve pain from a back surgery, she had 3 years prior (scoliosis correction). To her surprise the massage therapist would not massage her back. She would only massage her shoulders where she wasn't having pain. After that experience she knew she wanted to help people with their pain. She wanted to be a knowledgeable resource for people who are experiencing real or symptomatic pain.

While attending massage school she had a major episode with multiple sclerosis that had her believing that massage wasn’t for her anymore. After 7 years, 3 kids, and many ups and downs with MS she decided massage was all she wanted to do for a career. She went back to school while healing from a MS exacerbation that was hard on her body.  She realized while helping others in their healing process through massage that she was promoting healing within her own body.
